Thai Massage & Bodywork
Thai Massage utilizes acupressure, stretching, and compression to release tensions and relieve the body physically as well as energetically.
Rooted in Loving Kindness (Metta), our Bodywork is designed to clear any congestion, static energy, and to improve one’s constitution overall.
Participants wear loose, comfortable clothing, allowing for full range of motion and flexibility.
Without the use of a table or oils, the participant remains clothed while the practitioner leverages bodyweight and rhythmic pressing, pulling, and rocking to ease muscles and realign any imbalances, supported by a pallet on the ground.
The massage generally follows designated “sen” lines or energy lines, in the body. The legs and feet of the giver can be used to position the body or limbs of the recipient. In other positions, hands fix the body, while the feet aid in the massaging. Some techniques incorporate assisted yoga postures depending on the needs of the participant.
